There’s Help – Sometimes it’s even free!

Since broadcasting my own wishes to stop the pain by any means necessary, I’ve received a few messages from friends telling me they aren’t much better off, or perhaps they are ever farther gone. I’ve complied a list of resources, help me add to it!

King County Crisis Line: 206-461-3222 or 1-866-427-4747

Self-help for suicide prevention:

(inc. number for National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255)

Seattle Crisis resource directory:

LGBT Counseling on a sliding scale –

Country doctor on 19th Ave E – therapists and meds and acupuncture on a sliding scale

Emergency/ low income counseling services

Washington Free Clinics (lists many in Seattle and some all over WA)

Group Health Consulting Nurse Service: 1-800-297-6877 (a nurse on this hotline is who talked me off the ledge)

You can always stop in a church, or an AA meeting, or an emergency room, and someone will try to help you – Harborview I know will take people without money (although you may get a bill there’s financial aid as well)

You can call me too, and if I can’t help you maybe I know someone who can.
